Cmpassionate Vet Care - Dr. MaryPride Clark, DVM
Dr. MaryPride Clark, DVMDr. Mary Pride Clark was born and raised in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mary Pride earned her veterinary degree from UC Davis.

Dr. Clark knew from her first week at UC Davis that she wanted to work with livestock. Mary Pride studied additional coursework and sought out opportunities to be with and understand farm animals, especially cattle, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas and pigs, as well as dogs and cats. To help the underserved llama and alpaca communities, Dr. Clark also attended seminars and special courses on these marvelous creatures. She even traveled to Oregon and Peru to take an intensive camelid (notably llamas and alpacas) course from world-renowned camelid veterinarians and researchers.

After graduation, Mary Pride worked at an animal shelter – an experience which allowed her special insight into two very different but closely related aspects of veterinary medicine:

  • Herd Health. The concept of creating good disease prevention programs, educating caretakers to recognize and treat disease early and staying within realistic economic limits.

  • Human-Animal Bond. The complex and unique relationships that people have with their animals.

Compassionate Veterinary Care. Dr. Clark founded Compassionate Veterinary Care, a mobile veterinary practice, in 2012  to provide high quality medical care and compassionate end-of-life care to farm animals and pets. In addition to western medical therapies, Compassionate Veterinary Care offers:

  • Acupuncture to relieve pain and enhance healing for dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, pigs..

  • In-Home Euthanasia when an animal is suffering.

Dr. Clark strives to care for your animals regardless of whether they are intended for show, companionship or the table. Dr. Clark offers mobile diagnosis and treatment of medical, surgical and production disorders in farm animals.

Dr. Clark is  a member of the following veterinary professional organizations:
